How the wireless system works

Multi-Zone Capability

The audio signal is transmitted wirelessly on any one of three selecTable zones. These separate zones prevent interference when setting up multiple railtones systems within one home or business, or if a neighbor has a railtones system. Signals sent on different zones will not interfere with each other.

The zone is selected on the transmitter using the 3-position switch on the side. A blue status light will indicate if the transmitter is connected to any speakers.

Each speaker must then be "tuned" to the signal zone selected on the transmitter. A blue light will indicate if each speaker is receiving a signal from the transmitter.

Stereo and Mono Sound

The speakers can be individually configured to play the left channel or right channel for stereophonic sound, like you would hear when using headphones or surround sound.

Choose the left channel on the speakers mounted to one side of a room; choose the right channel for the other side.

To hear both the left and right channels on all the speakers, like you would hear at a store or mall, use the mono channel.

Important Notes
Location: Do not use the wireless transmitter near a microwave.
Do not install this system in a damp or wet location.

What’s in the box

(2) Speakers mount to the lighting system for power and connect wirelessly to the transmitter for the audio signal.
(1) Wireless transmitter is connected to an audio device and a power source (power adapter included). When plugged into a computer’s USB port, the computer provides both the audio signal and power.
(1) Remote control controls speakers individually. It can turn speakers on and off, select equalizer settings, and adjust volume.
(1) Power adapter provides power to the transmitter so it can be used with an audio device other than a computer.
(1) 3.5mm Audio cable connects an audio device to the transmitter.
(1) Allen Key can be used to tighten the speaker pivot joint if the speaker starts to droop from the desired tilt angle.
(1) MonoRail adapter is included only with MonoRail railtones kits and is used to mount the speaker to MonoRail low-voltage lighting systems.

Individual Components

	LBL Lighting railtones Speaker RTSP01 Additional speakers may be added to your system and will work with all of the components that come in the railtones speaker kit. The speakers operate on 12 volt or 24 volt low-voltage systems including Monorail, 2-Circuit Monorail, and Fusion Jack. Using the adapters below, the speakers can also be mounted to most popular track lighting systems, and most 6 inch recessed downlights. 	LBL Lighting railtones Subwoofer RTSUBW01B The subwoofer can be purchased separately to provide additional bass support. Plugs into the wall and connects wirelessly to the railtones transmitter. Includes 4' driver. Railtones remote will also control volume on the subwoofer. The default setting for the subwoofer is Zone 1. To change the zone setting, first turn off power to the subwoofer by unplugging the power adapter. The status light should be off. Toggle the 3-position switch to select the zone that the transmitter is broadcasting on. The subwoofer will automatically try to connect to the transmitter after it is plugged in. Multi-Zone Capability The audio signal is transmitted wirelessly on any one of three zones available on the transmitter. After setting up the transmitter, the subwoofer must then be tuned to the signal zone selected on the transmitter. A blue light will indicate if the subwoofer is receiving a signal from the transmitter. What’s in the box (1) Subwoofer connects wirelessly to any railtones transmitter for the audio signal. The transmitter is included in the railtones 2-speaker kit (sold separately). (1) Power Adapter provides power to the subwoofer.
	LBL Lighting railtones Transmitter RTTMIT01 The transmitter delivers the audio signal from the source to the speakers. It connects to a computer utilizing the built-in USB connector or to most Portable audio devices such as an iPod/iPhone using the 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable (included in the kit). It can also be connected to a receiver, stereo, or television using a 3.5mm to RCA connector (not included in the kit, order separately). Speakers should be located within 100 feet of the transmitter for optimal performance.
	LBL Lighting railtones Remote Control RTREMOTE01 Includes power and volume controls and four pre-set equalizer settings. The user can control the speakers individually. For example, speakers mounted in different area do not have to be set a the same volume level. If pointed at the speaker, the remote transmits approximately 30 feet. Color: Black
	LBL Lighting railtones Power Adapter RTPSUP01 Provides power to the transmitter. Not needed if plugging the transmitter directly into the USB port on a computer.
	LBL Lighting railtones 3.5mm Audio Cable RTCORD01 Connects the railtones transmitter to most Portable audio devices such as an iPod/iPhone^®. 2 meters/6.5 feet.
	LBL Lighting railtones 3.5mm to RCA Cable RTCOR02 Connects the railtones transmitter to the RCA jack found on a receiver, stereo, or television. 0.5 meters/1.6 feet.
