LBL LED Illuminated MonoRail

LBL Lighting's unique solution to low-voltage monorail lighting is recognized for its quality, functionality and our vast selection of refreshing rail element designs.

LED Illuminated Monorail takes lighting to a new level by combining elegant hand-bendable Monorail with a band of colored light.

State-of-the-art LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) brilliantly illuminate through fiber optic cabling that runs through the center of LBL's Monorail. Simply plug in a single-ended LED generator at the ends of the Monorail and you have a brilliant, glowing Monorail. Each LED only uses 3 watts of energy. 32' of Monorail glows brightly with just two generators. The system is fully dimmable and easily expandable. Compatible with all LBL 2-circuit elements. (This system is not a 2-circuit system.)

Any organic curve or straight run can be created in one of 5 colors, or mix in new colors each time you add a generator to deliver a full spectrum of possibilities.

Step 1. Choose your decorative elements.

Select from any of LBL's Mini-Pendants and Heads.

Step 2. Create your own size and shape.

Straight Rail

Straight Monorail with open center channel for fiber optic cable. All pieces are field-cutable and bendable to a horizontal radius as small as 12 inches.

Fiber Optic Cable

Sold per foot. Order length of cable to match run length plus one additional foot.

Step 3. Choose your LED Generators

Recommended every 16 feet. LED Generators may be chosen as single or dual-ended light sources. Each end of the rail needs a single-ended generator. An addition dual-ended generator would be used to expand your rail runs past 16'.

Mix colors with two different colored single-ended generators. Use different color dual-ended generator to continue with additional lengths of rail.

LED Generators may be chosen as single or dual ended light sources.
Each end of the rail needs a single-ended generator. An additional dual ended generator would be used to expand your rail runs past 30'. Mix colors with (2) different colored single-ended generators. Use a different color dual-ended generator to continue with additional lengths of rail.

Step 4. Choose your Connectors

There are many options for joining sections of LED Illuminated Monorail into unique shapes and designs.

Straight Isolating

Straight isolating connectors join sections of rail and isolate one powered run from another. These are typically used to separate one circuit from the other circuit when using surface or remote dual-feed 12v transformers and to separate multiple transformers on a continuous run. Included with dual post surface transformers and power feed canopies.

Step 5. Choose your Monorail Supports

Supports are recommended every 3 feet. Versatile, telescoping standoffs allow you to choose your hanging method and height.

Telescoping Rigid Standoffs

Specify with Surface Mounted Transformers or Power Feed Canopies.

Rigid Standoffs offer multifunction ceiling mounting in one part. Unique telescoping height adjustments simplifies and perfects your installation. Self-drilling drywall anchor included with all standoffs.

When mounting on concrete ceilinG or wall, order one SCW-MASONRY-A per standoff.

Step 6. Choose your Transformer & Canopy

Transformers

All Monorail lighting systems require a transformer to convert standard 120 voltage to a safe-to-touch 12 volts. LED Illuminated Monorail can be powered with surface mounted transformers or with remote transformers.

Surface Mounted Transformers

All surface mounted transformers are encased in a finished metal housing and mount to any standard ceiling electrical box. Typically, you use

when an accessible location above the ceiling or in a utility closet is unavailable for installing a remote transformer.

Transformer and flexible coaxial feeder cleanly and attractively send power to your system. 36" length is standard for our coaxial feeder. It is easily shortened in the field. Ask us about longer lengths.

LBL's unique Coaxial Feeder mimics a solid stem when straight. The braided steel outer jacket and the Monorail adapter beautifully complement the entire system.

Direct Feed Transformers

Allow for the closest possible mounting of LED Illuminating Monorail to the ceiling. Each mounts to a standard 4" junction box with round plaster ring.

Remote Transformers

All Remote Transformers are encased in metal housings complete with mounting feet and conduit knockouts. Typically, you use a remote transformer when a cleaner installation appearance is desired. A remote transformer must be installed in an accessible remote location, the bulkier ceiling mounted surface transformer is replaced by a power feed canopy with flexible coaxial power feed cable or direct feed connector.

All Remote Transformers must be accompanied by a Remote Canopy. The Remote Canopy covers the ceiling or wall electrical box and is equipped with a 36" flexible coaxial power feeder.
