Hollywood is our immediate neighbour — five minutes up Federal Highway or A1A. A lot of our delivery runs never go further than this.
The mix here is unusually broad for one city: hotels and restaurants along the Broadwalk, a major hospital system, downtown commercial, and a large stock of mid-century residential and condominium that is squarely in the maintenance cycle.
What we do for Hollywood projects
- Hospitality. Hotels, restaurants and bars along the Broadwalk and downtown, where fixtures have to look right in an open lobby and still survive salt-laden air blowing through it.
- Healthcare. Memorial in Hollywood has a large surgical and patient bed tower programme running to the end of the decade, and medical office fit-outs go on continuously around it. - Condominium and multifamily common areas. Corridors, lobbies, garages, pool decks, and the matching problem that comes with buildings fitted out decades ago.
- Residential. The older neighbourhoods here have real architecture in them, and the showroom is five minutes away for choosing fixtures in person.
What is specific to Hollywood
Two local factors come up on almost every exterior job in this city.
- Hollywood has its own sea turtle lighting ordinance, and along this coast nesting season runs 1 March to 31 October. Exterior lighting visible from the beach has to be low, fully shielded and long-wavelength at 560 nanometres or greater. Hollywood also runs a recognition programme for turtle-friendly lighting. - Broward's building safety inspection programme generally starts at 25 years and repeats every ten. Buildings of that age are being opened up, re-waterproofed and repainted right now, and the lighting comes down as part of it. Price the replacements while the access is already paid for.
- Salt air reaches further inland than people expect. A fixture on a covered walkway that never gets rinsed by rain will fail before one out in the weather. Material and fastener grade matter more than fixture style.
- Egress and emergency lighting is inspected separately from the building department, through the fire marshal under the Florida Fire Prevention Code. On hotels and multifamily this is the thing most often discovered late. See emergency and exit lighting.

Common questions
How far is the showroom from Hollywood?
Five to ten minutes. Straight down Federal Highway or A1A to Hallandale Beach Boulevard, then west.
Do you supply hotels and restaurants?
Yes. Hospitality is a regular part of the contract side, and the combination of a fixture that has to look good and survive a salt-laden open lobby is a familiar problem here.
Can you quote medical office and healthcare work?
Yes. Send the schedule and the room-by-room drawings, and tell us which areas are patient care, procedure or back of house, because the requirements differ.
Does the turtle lighting rule apply to my property?
It depends on whether your exterior lighting is visible from the beach, not simply how far you are from it. Tell us the address and whether anything faces east, and we will quote accordingly. The city decides compliance.
Do you deliver to Hollywood job sites?
Yes, and it is a short run, which matters when something arrives damaged and a floor is waiting.
