About PureEdge Lighting

PureEdge Lighting is a Chicago company producing specification-grade architectural LED systems - plaster-in recessed linear, magnetic and micro track, suspended and monorail systems, curved and cove product, step lights and aluminum extrusions. The brand was formed by combining Edge Lighting and Pure Lighting under one name. Architects and lighting designers specify it when the detail calls for light with no visible fixture.

Collections

TruLine TrimTrimmed version of the plaster-in system for installations where a flush drywall finish is not practical.
TruQuadPlaster-in system in 1A, 1.6A and 5A sizes with a squared aperture.
TruCurvePatented curved plaster-in system for organic runs in 5/8-inch drywall.
TruCirquePatented recessed system producing circular illuminated forms.
MicroTrackPatented small-profile precision track for minimal architectural detailing.
TruTrack Trim MagneticRecessed magnetic track for multiple mounting surfaces.
Pipeline 360Rotatable, bendable suspension system.

What you get for the money

Architectural specification pricing. What the money buys is a detail that cannot be achieved with off-the-shelf product: TruLine recesses within 5/8-inch drywall with no joist modification, is field-cuttable and ordered in one-foot increments up to 40 feet before re-feeding, and runs vertically, horizontally and diagonally. The LEDs are specified at 95+ CRI with color temperatures from 2400K through 4000K. PureEdge states a five-year pro-rated warranty on TruLine.

Where it gets used

High-end residential ceilings and walls where the designer wants a continuous line of light and no visible trim; retail, gallery, restaurant and hospitality interiors; corporate reception and boardroom detailing. The curved systems get used on stair soffits and radiused ceilings. Because it is a drywall-integrated system, it belongs in new construction or full gut renovation, not in a fixture swap.

Specifying notes

TruLine is a construction detail as much as a fixture - it has to be coordinated with the drywall contractor and roughed in before finishing, and 5/8-inch drywall is the assumption. Order length in one-foot increments and plan the re-feed point on runs approaching 40 feet. Confirm the driver and dimming protocol against the project's control system at the specification stage; note also that PureEdge states orders over a certain value are non-returnable, so measure the run before releasing the order.

How it compares

Tech Lighting / Visual Comfort ArchitecturalBroader recessed and track catalogue with more decorative crossover; less specialized in plaster-in linear.
Lucifer LightingSan Antonio architectural manufacturer with comparable trimless and linear detailing at a similar or higher tier.
Q-TranLinear and cove specialist with strong custom capability and driver engineering.
American LightingMuch cheaper tape-and-channel approach to linear light; visible channel rather than a plaster-in detail.

Common questions about PureEdge Lighting

Is PureEdge Lighting good quality?

Yes. It is specification-grade architectural LED with patented plaster-in and track systems, 95+ CRI LEDs, and a published five-year pro-rated warranty on TruLine.

Where can I buy PureEdge Lighting?

Brand Lighting is an authorized dealer and can quote and order PureEdge systems - including cut-to-length TruLine runs - and ship anywhere in the United States.

Does PureEdge Lighting have a warranty?

PureEdge states a five-year pro-rated warranty on its TruLine plaster-in system. For other product families, warranty is supported through the manufacturer via an authorized dealer and we confirm the applicable term at quotation.

Is PureEdge Lighting made in the USA?

PureEdge is headquartered and operates from Chicago, Illinois. The company does not publish a blanket made-in-USA claim on its product pages, so we describe it as a Chicago manufacturer rather than certifying country of origin - ask us if a project requires documented domestic sourcing.

Can TruLine be installed in an existing ceiling?

It is a plaster-in system that recesses within 5/8-inch drywall, so it belongs in new construction or a renovation where the ceiling is open. It is not a retrofit for an existing finished ceiling.

What is the difference between Edge Lighting and PureEdge Lighting?

They are the same company. Edge Lighting and Pure Lighting were combined under the PureEdge Lighting name; older Edge Lighting part numbers still cross-reference to current product.
